SEOUL — Shareholders of budget airline T'way Air (TW) have approved plans to change the company’s name to Trinity Airways.
The decision to adopt a new name was made at the airline’s annual general meeting held on Tuesday, March 31. At the meeting, shareholders passed an amendment to the articles of incorporation to reflect the name change.
The rebrand—the second we’ve covered today, after Peach Aviation’s—is designed to sharpen TW’s identity.
Gradual transition process
The new name will be finalized after regulatory procedures have been completed. This includes approvals from both domestic and international aviation authorities.
The airline says that reservations, flight numbers, and the airline code TW will remain unchanged during the transition process. Online services will also continue as normal.
“As we move forward as Trinity Airways, we will ensure a smooth transition and minimize disruption for customers and the market,” a TW official said. The airline plans to gradually roll out its renewed brand across official channels, including its website and customer notifications.
T'way Air operates domestic and international flights (primarily within Asia) from its hubs at Seoul's Incheon (ICN) and Gimpo (GMP) airports.
