Strong Demand Sees Etihad Expand Atlanta Frequency

DALLAS — Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways (EY) will expand its new Atlanta (ATL) service from four times a week to daily flights, only four months after it launched its inaugural flight. As of November 1, 2025, the service began July 2, 2025, and will now operate daily.

Expanding Nonstop Connectivity

This will be the first direct service from the UAE to Atlanta, and it will be a one-stop service connecting Atlanta to key destinations in South Asia, including Karachi (KHI), Bengaluru (BLR), Chennai (MAA), and Mumbai (BOM).

The new route will be operated by the advanced Airbus A350-1000 used by the airline. Jurriaan Stelder, Network and Alliances Senior VP at EY, underlined the demand for the route:

"Since we unveiled our Atlanta flights in November, we have had huge passenger demand. That is why we are increasing the frequency of daily service on this very popular route.

The enhanced frequency will offer more flexibility and convenience to passengers while traveling for business or leisure. The expansion of EY complements an increase in connectivity between the UAE and the U.S. ATL is considered the world's busiest passenger airport, and the daily flight is supposed further to entrench the airline's foothold in North America.

One of the significant benefits offered to passengers traveling on EY flights to the U.S. is U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Preclearance at AUH. This gives the advantage of immigration, customs, and security checks being carried out before travel to make the journey to the U.S. as smooth as arriving passengers.

Competitive Fares, Premium Experience

The AUH-ATL route starts at AED 1,925 (USD$525) in Economy Class and AED 10,010 (USD$2,725) in Business Class.

The A350-1000 is one of the most highly known aircraft for fuel conservation. The passenger experience onboard is exceptional, with the latest Business Class suites, enhanced inflight entertainment, and even high-speed in-flight Wi-Fi.

Atlanta is an important business center, and demand for premium travel will be very high. More frequency will attract corporate travelers and leisure passengers to explore the city's rich cultural heritage and the vibrant entertainment arena.

Atlanta’s Strategic Importance

Given the codesharing agreements between EY and major U.S. carriers, ATL is a vital gateway for travelers to North America and Latin America.

Through its connections, AUH offers easy access for Middle Eastern, African, and South Asian passengers to one of the world's busiest aviation hubs.

Known for its diversified business ecosystem, entertainment, and diverse cultural attractions, Atlanta is fast becoming attractive to many international travelers.

Beyond Atlanta, Georgia, presents scenes of beauty for those interested in landscape vistas, many historic sites, and south hospitality for tourists.

The upgrade of the ATL route is part of EY's expansion. The airline plans to add 13 new destinations to its global network this year. It continues to expand in North America while reinforcing long-haul connectivity and investing in the modernization of its fleet.

Continued Investment in the U.S. Market

Etihad's ATL expansion move would be a step based on persistent efforts by the airline to strengthen U.S.-UAE travel bonds. Besides establishing a CBP Preclearance facility at AUH, this will incorporate increased frequencies, new partnerships, and customized onboard products for long-haul customers.

With the strong demand for premium and economy travel, EY's decision to launch daily flights has become an indicator of growth in the market, with an increasing interconnection between the Middle East and North America.

With the new AUH-ATL schedule now open to bookings, EY spreads its global reach while offering its customers options and convenience.
