DALLAS — Russian flag carrier Aeroflot (SU) has relaunched flights to HKG after suspending these services in March 2020 due to flight bans imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as when Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, resulting in international sanctions against Russia.
Aeroflot operates these flights three times a week with an Airbus A330-300 aircraft. Flights depart from Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. On the return, flights depart from Hong Kong on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Flight Schedule
- Flight SU212 departs Moscow (SVO) at 19.03 and arrives in Hong Kong (HKG) at 10.05 (the next day, local time).
- Flight SU213 departs Hong Kong (HKG) at 11.55 and arrives in Moscow (SVO) at 17.55 (the same day, local time).
Despite international sanctions against Russia, SU currently operates services to 108 destinations in 21 countries. The airline expects positive passenger loads on its relaunched HKG route.
Since Russian passport holders do not require visas to visit Hong Kong, travel to the city/special administrative region is not out of bounds for Russian nationals. SU expects strong demand from both business and leisure travelers.

Subjects A through C are presented in this first of three volumes.
