DALLAS – Porter Airlines (PD) will introduce flights between Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Kelowna International Airport (YLW) next year.
The Toronto-based (YTZ) airline begin this nonstop service on May 14, 2025. Initially, the route will be operated five times a week. However, services will increase to daily flights on June 23.
“Our presence in Western Canada continues to grow, and more travelers can now enjoy their trip as soon as they get onboard the aircraft with Porter’s award-winning elevated economy experience,” said Edmond Eldebs, senior vice president and chief commercial officer, Porter Airlines.
YLW will become the third city in British Columbia served by PD, complementing its existing flights to Vancouver (YVR) and Victoria (YYJ).
"Porter Airlines' decision to expand its services to Kelowna is a significant milestone for our community. This new route not only enhances connectivity between Kelowna and Toronto but also opens up new opportunities for tourism and business in the Okanagan Valley,” says Sam Samaddar, Kelowna International Airport CEO.
YYZ-YLW Flight Schedule
The flight duration from Kelowna, Canada to Toronto, Canada is 4:20m for a nonstop flight. Toronto is in the Eastern Time Zone (ET), and Kelowna is in the Pacific Time Zone (PT), 3 hours behind ET.
- Flights will depart YYZ at 09.15 and arrive in YLW at 10.55.

Porter’s E195-E2 Jets
The service will be operated with an Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. This aircraft seats up to 132 passengers. The E195-E2 has the lowest fuel consumption per seat and per trip in its class. It is also the quietest single-aisle jet currently in operation. The aircraft’s two-by-two seat configuration also means no middle seats on these flights.
Porter’s onboard experience provides passengers with complimentary beer and wine (served in glassware), a selection of Canadian premium snacks, and free, fast-streaming WiFi.
Sustainability is at the heart of the menu design, prioritizing reducing and eventually eliminating single-use plastics onboard, providing biodegradable cups, cutlery, and eco-friendly packaging.
