Norse Atlantic to Launch Manchester Bangkok Flights

DALLAS — Norse Atlantic Airways (N0) will introduce the first direct service between Manchester (MAN) and Bangkok (BKK).

The low-cost long-haul carrier will launch a seasonal service between these cities on November 26, 2025. The route will be operated once a week, with a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.

This is in fact the first time ever that MAN will be connected directly with Thailand’s capital BKK. The introduction of this service comes in light of the fact that there is significant passenger demand for flights between Manchester and Bangkok.

Norse says that every year more than 100,000 passengers travel indirectly between MAN and BKK, indicating a demand for this service. The airline says that with an estimated 100,000 passengers travelling through other airports, this new service is a step in addressing a large underserved long-haul market.

We don’t just follow demand — we unlock it. This route has been waiting to happen, and we’re proud to be the ones making it a reality. Manchester is a key gateway to the North of England, and Bangkok is a magnet for adventure, business, and culture. Connecting the two cities is a natural next step for Norse as we continue to disrupt and expand in the long-haul space.” Bjørn Tore Larsen, CEO of Norse Atlantic Airways, said.

Expanding Into Thailand

This new service comes hot on the heels of the announcement of N0’s new seasonal services to Phuket (HKT) from Oslo (OSL) and Stockholm (ARN). In fact, N0’s entry on the MAN – BKK route offers a convenient alternative to indirect, time-consuming connections, and supports both inbound tourism to the United Kingdom as well as business and leisure travel to Thailand.

Norse therefore aims to tap into this unserved demand by offering its affordable, direct, and convenient flights from MAN. The carrier also offers seasonal flights between London Gatwick (LGW) and BKK, though this is not a new service.

Services between Manchester and Bangkok will launch on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. N0 will operate one rotation a week on this route. Flights are scheduled to depart MAN at 23:30 (local time), arriving in BKK at 18:00 the following day (local time).
