DALLAS — Today, Icelandair (FI) and ITA Airways (AZ) announced a signed Codeshare Agreement with combined operations set to begin January 20, 2025.
The new codeshare will allow FI and AZ guests to travel on a single ticket that checks their bag all the way to their final destination, making travel to Iceland easier from Rome, Bologna, Florence, Venice and Naples.
Additionally, the Icelandic flag carrier will begin a new wintertime route flying four times weekly to Rome. In November 2024, the Keflavík International Airport (KEF)-based airline saw a 6.4% increase in the number of total passengers compared to last year.
