De Havilland Canada Brings Starlink to the Dash 8

CALGARY — De Havilland Canada has announced the retrofit option of Starlink in-flight internet on its Dash 8-400 aircraft.

Through De Havilland Canada's OEM Refurbishment Program, Starlink will be offered as a "factory option" or as a retrofit for Dash 8-400 aircraft that are currently in service.

The installation seamlessly interacts with current aircraft systems and is planned for minimal downtime.  In the upcoming weeks, the Canadian aircraft manufacturer anticipates its clients presenting this innovative new product to travelers by outfitting their Dash 8-400 aircraft with dependable in-flight connectivity.

Passengers will have seamless, gate-to-gate internet connection, even while traveling in distant or previously underserved areas, thanks to this milestone, which makes the De Havilland Canada aircraft the first in the world to offer the service.

“The addition of Starlink on the Dash 8-400 demonstrates our commitment to continued investment in our products and to providing cutting-edge solutions for our customers,” said Ryan DeBrusk, Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, De Havilland Canada. “With this technology, passengers can enjoy reliable, high-speed internet access for streaming, browsing and other real-time online applications – bringing the regional flying experience in line with today’s traveller expectations.”

The Dash 8 aircraft, which has flown millions of passengers worldwide, is a stalwart of regional transport, noted for its performance, reliability, and sustainability.  This latest upgrade reinforces its position as the aircraft of choice for modern, interconnected regional operations.
