SEATTLE – Alaska Air Group announced its carriers, Alaska Airlines (AS) and Hawaiian Airlines (HA), will offer more than 12 million seats this March and April from more than 25 new or recently commenced routes focused on Spring Break travelers. This will mark the largest Spring Break operation in AS’s 41-year history.
Spring Break flights focus on the West Coast, Hawaii, and Asia Service, serving both cultural and adventure destinations
The combined airlines, which operate under the Alaska Airlines brand, the Atmos Rewards program, and credit cards, will offer enhanced travel opportunities to popular Western U.S. destinations in Colorado, California, and Hawaii, as well as key international destinations in Asia and Central America.
From surfing in sunny coastal destinations to cultural experiences in urban locations, AS’s new and expanded markets this spring season include Palm Springs and Orange County in California; Phoenix; Salt Lake City; Lihu’e, Kaua’i, and Kona in Hawaii, and Asian cities Tokyo and Seoul from Seattle.
In addition, AS expects more than 200,000 passengers will connect onward to flights operated by its Oneworld codeshare partners during the spring break period.
Las Vegas, San Diego, Hawaii to see Spring Break Boost
Las Vegas, Nevada, will be the combined carrier’s largest Continental U.S destination. The airlines operating their largest-ever spring schedule to Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) by total seats. Hawaiʻi routes will remain the top choice for overall destinations.
AS will also expand its San Diego service for spring break with more than 30% more flights and 10 new nonstop routes. It will also operate 31 additional flights between Hawaiʻi and the continental U.S. from March 14 to 22, a 6% increase over last year.
