Frontier Launches New Nonstop Routes Connecting 38 Airports

DALLAS – Colorado-based ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) Frontier Airlines (F9) has announced the introduction of new nonstop flights across the US and to regional international destinations.

These additional services are set to commence in April, May, and June of 2024. Notably, Dallas Fort Worth Airport (DFW) will be receiving the largest number of new destinations, which is attributed to Frontier Airlines having a crew base located at DFW.

Frontier's vice president for network operations and design, Josh Flyr, states that the airline intends to expand on currently underserved and overpriced routes. It's worth noting that F9 has a strong presence in Florida and Las Vegas, but this recent shift in strategy suggests a move away from these markets. F9's decision to target full-service airline hubs indicates a desire to compete in markets with excessive low-fare capacity in leisure destinations.
