DALLAS — The WestJet Group (WS) will acquire two additional Boeing 737-8 aircraft in 2024, one from Aviation Capital Group (ACG) and one from High Ridge Aviation (HRA).
Earlier this month, the the Canadian airline group spoke of three Boeing 737-8 aircraft in partnership with BOC Aviation Limited and another Boeing 737-8 with AerDragon. With today's announcement, six Boeing 737 MAX aircraft are bound for the airline group this year.
WestJet says that the aircraft interiors will not immediately match the typical WS cabin experience, but that updating and refreshing the cabin interiors will be a priority in the airline's ongoing fleet reconfiguration plans to provide a consistent experience for guests as soon as possible.
