DALLAS — International Airlines Group (IAG) announced in its Q2 report that Vueling (VY) will operate 50 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft ordered by the group in 2022.
The order includes Boeing 737-8200 and Boeing 737 MAX 10 aircraft. Deliveries are set to begin in late 2026.
Currently, Vueling operates an all-Airbus fleet with 136 aircraft - 6 Airbus A319, 85 Airbus A320ceo, 18 Airbus A321ceo, 23 Airbus A320neo, and 4 Airbus A321neo.
New 737 MAX aircraft are planned to replace older Airbus aircraft, aiming to improve IAG’s capacity and reduce its environmental footprint.
The first half of 2025 has been busy for IAG on new aircraft deliveries and orders, with 13 aircraft delivered to different airlines in the group and 71 long-haul aircraft ordered.
71 aircraft ordered in 2025 are set to be delivered between 2027 and 2033, aiming to support IAG’s growth, replace older aircraft, and facilitate short-term leases.
