United to Resume Daily Service to Tel Aviv, Israel

DALLAS — United Airlines (UA) has announced plans to resume flights from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV) on March 15, with a second daily flight planned to begin March 29.

The UA Tel Aviv Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights return after the airline conducted a "detailed assessment of operational considerations for the region" and got the greenlight from its flight attendants and pilot unions.

United is the first U.S. airline to resume service this year. The airline also offers connections to Tel Aviv through partners including Lufthansa Group (LH) airlines.

The airline states that it will continue to monitor the situation in the region "to evaluate opportunities to restore additional flights based on demand."
