DALLAS — Spirit Aviation Holdings, parent company of Spirit Airlines (NK), announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Dave Davis as President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board, effective April 21, 2025.
The first week of April, NK announced that its then-President and CEO, Ted Christie, would step down from the Company and the Board of Directors. Matt Klein, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, also stepped down.
Mr. Davis joins NK from Sun Country Airlines (SY), where he served as President and Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Board of Directors.
Spirit also welcomes airline analyst Duncan Dee as Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications. He will be responsible the airline's internal and external communications. Dee regularly appears on major Canadian media networks, including CBC, CTV, and Global News. Before that, Mr. Dee held various leadership roles at Air Canada (AC), ultimately serving as the airline's Chief Operating Officer.
Additionally, Trey Urbahn will be NK's new Senior Commercial Advisor. Urbahn will be in charge of network, pricing, and yield management, as well as the airline's onboard configurations and offerings. He comes from stints at five airlines, including Etihad (EY), Breeze (MX), Azul (AD), TAP Air Portugal (TP), and JetBlue (B6).
