DUBAI — SolitAir (SH), the dedicated airport-to-airport cargo airline, announced the launch of a new route connecting its hub at Dubai World Central (DWC) to to Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport (TNA)
The launch of TNA indeed strengthens SH's footprint in Asia. The new route builds on SolitAir’s established presence across China, which already includes operations to Hong Kong (HKG) and Urumqi (URC); and comes just after the carrier’s entry into Europe with its inaugural route to Sofia (SOF), Bulgaria.
The inaugural flight carried a VIP cargo shipment, highlighting the importance of the new corridor for customers requiring secure, reliable and time-critical air freight solutions.
“China continues to be one of the most important growth markets for global trade and expanding our network to Tianjin reflects our commitment to serving the evolving needs of our customers. Tianjin gives us direct access to one of northern China’s most dynamic manufacturing and logistics hubs while strengthening the US$111 billion non-oil trade links between China and the UAE." Hamdi Osman, Founder and CEO of SolitAir, said:
Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport (TNA) is the primary aviation hub for Jinan, the capital of China's Shandong province. Located roughly 33 km (21 miles) northeast of downtown Jinan, the airport operates a modern, integrated terminal that efficiently manages both domestic and international flights.
Major airlines like China Eastern Airlines and Sichuan Airlines fly out of TNA, connecting the city to over 70 destinations worldwide, including major hubs across Asia.
TNA is also a favored arrival point for tourists heading to Mount Tai in nearby Tai'an, located about 90 km away via high-speed train or shuttle.
