PARIS — SkyWest Airlines (OO) has announced a significant order with Embraer for up to 110 E175 regional jets at the 2025 Paris Air Show. The deal comprises an order for 60 firm aircraft, with purchase rights for an additional 50.
16 of the firm orders have already been committed to flights under a contract with Delta Air Lines (DL), with delivery starting in 2027.
Expanding, Renewing the Fleet
The 11 CRJ900s and five CRJ700s already in service with DL will be replaced by the anticipated E175 deliveries, helping OO achieve its long-term goal of expanding its dual-class fleet.
The firm order has a list price value of US$3.6 billion. Additionally, 44 E175s are scheduled for delivery from 2028 through 2032, pending new flying agreements with OO's key airline partners.
With its role as the world's largest E175 operator, OO's increased dedication further solidifies its hold on the North American regional market.

Preparing for Future Growth
According to aerotime.aero, the 50 purchase options allow OO to adjust fleet expansion plans as needed, based on new contracts and demand. The E175 remains the top choice for regional travel, thanks to its proven reliability, passenger comfort, and fuel efficiency.
Chip Childs, OO CEO, pointed out that the new order not only reinforces the relationship with DL but also enables the carrier to continue industry leadership in regional flying.
Embraer's President and CEO, Arjan Meijer, welcomed the new partnership, acknowledging the E175 as the backbone of North American regional aviation.
