SAS Adds New Domestic Destinations in 2025

‍DALLAS — As part of a recent wet-lease agreement between SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK) and Braathens Regional Airways AB (TF), SAS is set to expand its domestic network. 

Starting in January 2025, the airline will launch new routes to Halmstad (HAD), Kalmar (KLR), and Sälen (SCR), significantly boosting connectivity across Sweden.

Braathens Regional will operate several aircraft on behalf of SK in line with its commitment to delivering sustainable, long-term air connectivity within Sweden. This collaboration provides sufficient capacity on key domestic routes, allowing SK to offer efficient and reliable domestic travel.

The network expansion allows passengers greater travel flexibility within Sweden and to international destinations via Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN). Recently, SK announced an extensive expansion plan to establish a global hub in Scandinavia, strengthening its strategy to develop a major hub for domestic and international travel.

Beginning in January 2025, SAS will also increase the frequency of flights to destinations like Visby (VBY), Malmö (MMX), Ängelholm-Helsingborg (AGH), Ronneby (RNB), and Gothenburg (GOT) from Arlanda (ARN).

This improved connectivity is expected to boost tourism, support local businesses, and stimulate Sweden's economy by facilitating smoother travel for both commercial and leisure purposes.
