DALLAS — On June 30, 2025, Oman Air (WY) officially joined oneworld, becoming its 15th member. Founded in 1993, WY serves 42 destinations across 22 countries globally through its hub in Muscat (MCT), Oman’s capital.

The airline has been undergoing a comprehensive restructuring process over the past few years, rethinking its approach to future-proof its services and play a role in Oman Vision 2040. 

Joining oneworld unlocks various benefits for frequent flyers, including lounge access, status match, and more. The oneworld alliance operates over 4.6 million flights annually, carrying nearly 1.4 million passengers daily. 

Founded by American Airlines (AA), British Airways (BA), Cathay Pacific (CX), and Qantas (QF), oneworld is headquartered in Fort Worth, TX. In 2024, the alliance launched two brand-new lounges in Seoul Incheon Airport (ICN) and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS), further investing in premium travel demand. 

Starting July 1, 2025, WY will launch its first-ever connection to Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS), further consolidating its presence in Europe. The flight will be operated by the Boeing 787-9, WY’s only widebody.

Starting at the end of October 2025, the airline will also double its frequencies to an important oneworld hub, London Heathrow (LHR), aiming to reach 14 non-stop flights a week by summer of 2026 and granting access to the oneworld partners’ network to destinations in North America.
