TULSA — Lufthansa Technik has established a new 25,000-square-foot component center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, marking a significant move to build its maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) network in the Americas.
The location is managed by Lufthansa Technik Component Services (LTCS) and includes 90 additional workstations, modernized avionics capacity, and increased administrative space to accommodate growing regional demand. The expansion is part of a larger two-phase program across the Tulsa campus.
The center offers additional repair and maintenance services for Integrated Drive Generators (IDGs) on Airbus A320ceo and A320neo aircraft, as well as on Boeing 737NG and 737 MAX aircraft. The current workshops are avionics, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and cabin parts, which can support multiple systems in commercial fleets.
Integration and strategic expansion of the networks
LTCS will combine the Tulsa operation with a global network of Lufthansa Technik component hubs, such as those in Frankfurt, Shenzhen, and Hamburg, which will enhance the availability of parts and the turnaround times for operators throughout the Americas.
An intended second step will involve a considerable increase in the facility's size, with a focus on advanced avionics and pneumatic systems. The investment indicates the region's growing need for localized MRO support, making Tulsa a key point in Lufthansa Technik's worldwide service network.
