DALLAS — LATAM Group (LA) reports it transported 82 million passengers between January and December 2024, an 11.0% increase from 2023 and the highest ever.
In December, the group transported 7.3 million passengers, a 5.4% increase from December 2023.
Consolidated capacity, measured in available seat kilometers (ASK), increased by 10.9% in December 2023. International operations saw a 16.1% growth, leading to new routes from Santiago to Bariloche, Recife, Punta del Este, and Lima to Montego Bay and Rosario.
Annual capacity increased by 15.1% compared to 2023, per updated guidance from last October. The consolidated load factor reached 84.8% in December and 84.3% for the full year, 1.2 percentage points higher than in 2023.
finally, cargo capacity increased by 11.8% to 747 million ATK in December 2024.
These numbers mark the highest number of passengers transported by the Latin American airline group historically.
