DALLAS — IndiGo (6E) is temporarily suspending flights to Hong Kong, Shanghai, Krabi, Ho Chi Minh, Langkawi, and Siem Reap amidst a challenging cost environment and traditionally softer demand in upcoming Q3 2026.
Temporary realignment
The airline announced the suspension of Siem Reap nonstop service starting from July 3, while the rest of the destinations will be put on hold from July 1, with the suspension in effect until September 30.
IndiGo will resume booking on impacted routes from October 1, 2026. However, should conditions improve, 6E is prepared to relaunch flights earlier than planned, with appropriate notice.
Responding to changing market conditions
The announced changes are aimed at aligning capacity with current market conditions and demand trends, while ensuring continuous reliability and network integrity across IndiGo’s global destinations.
Despite the adjustments, the airline has managed to retain the majority of its international capacity with over 1,800 weekly flights.
The carrier will continue to monitor the global market situation, given elevated operational costs and ongoing airspace restrictions.
Responsible capacity management
Recent changes reflect the airline's proactive approach to managing capacity responsibly, with a focus on minimizing inconvenience and demonstrating commitment to customer care and understanding.
IndiGo is proactively informing affected passengers and encouraging travelers to check the latest flight information, emphasizing transparency to build trust and confidence in our communication.
