DALLAS — Ultra-low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines (F9) will launch 'The New Frontier' in 2025, the next phase of its transformation.
The initiative brings first-class seating, new loyalty benefits, and expanded opportunities to redeem FRONTIER Miles, enhancing travelers' comfort and value.
Earlier phases of The New Frontier included transparent pricing, fee-free changes or cancellations, and UpFront Plus seating with extra legroom and empty middle seats.
Frontier's 2025 Upgrades
- First-Class Seating:
Launching in late 2025, F9 introduces "spacious, luxurious First-Class seats at affordable prices." Elite Gold members and above can access free upgrades, bringing premium comfort within reach. - Free Seat Upgrades for Elite Members:
Starting in early 2025, Elite loyalty members enjoy complimentary upgrades, including premium First Class options (based on availability). - Unlimited Free Companion Travel:
Starting in mid-2025, Platinum and Diamond Elite members can fly with a companion for free on any flight. This unique perk promises "unmatched flexibility" and savings. - FRONTIER Miles Redeemable for Bundles:
Beginning in mid-2025, FRONTIER Miles can be used for bundled baggage, seat upgrades, and more, offering tailored pricing and convenience.
A Revamped Loyalty Program
FRONTIER Miles members earn 10 miles per US$1 spent, with perks scaling across four Elite Status levels: Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond.
Benefits include no change or cancellation fees (7+ days in advance), priority boarding, family pooling, and increased mileage multipliers. Platinum and Diamond members enjoy additional perks like free pet-in-cabin travel and checked bags, including oversized gear.
Travelers can fast-track to Platinum status for a limited time by accumulating just 20,000 Elite Status points by April 30, 2025, through the FRONTIER Airlines World Mastercard or flying with F9.
As CEO Barry Biffle states, “Frontier is proving that premium travel doesn’t have to come with a premium price tag. We’re making luxury affordable and loyalty rewarding.”
