DALLAS — Last year, Finnair (AY) said it would operate seasonal services from its Helsinki (HEL) base to Luxembourg (LUX), Valencia (VLC), and Turin (TRN) for summer 2026.
However, the airline has now decided that these routes will run year-round, rather than only during the summer.
“We are constantly developing our network and increasing capacity where it best serves our customers. Year-round connections ensure that our customers can enjoy smooth and reliable travel options throughout the seasons,” said Antti Tolvanen, Finnair's Senior Vice President, Network and Revenue Optimisation.
All Year-Round Routes
There is a significant amount of business travel from LUX to HEL, and onwards with AY's route network. AY says it will increase frequencies to LUX, from three weekly flights in the summer, to four in the winter.
During the summer, Finnair will service TRN three times a week. Turin, located in the Western Alps, is popular with winter sports enthusiasts. AY will fly to TRN once weekly throughout the winter season, and twice a week during the peak winter sport season (from January to March).
Finnair will fly to Valencia four times a week for the summer. VLC offers sunny city breaks during the winter. AY's four weekly flights will continue through the winter.
This year, the airline will commence service to Toronto (YYZ) in May, and it will also launch flights to Melbourne (MEL) in October.
