DALLAS — Etihad Airways (EY), the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, reaffirmed its commitment to next-generation efficiency, passenger comfort, and long-haul capability with the addition of its sixth Airbus aircraft to its fleet. The latest pair of planes arrived in Abu Dhabi over the weekend after a successful delivery flight from Toulouse, France, the final assembly hub for Airbus.
The delivery marks another step forward for the airline, which already operates one of the youngest and most fuel-efficient fleets in the industry. Focused on passenger experience and sustainability, the Airbus A350, particularly the A350-1000 variant operated by EY, is set to play an important role in the airline's expanding global business.
Passenger-Focused Design with Next-Gen Comfort
Etihad Airways’ Airbus A350 is built with passenger experience in mind. Business Class passengers enjoy award-winning suites with privacy sliding doors, wireless charging, aisle access, and next-gen inflight entertainment, a premium environment for business and leisure travelers.
In Economy Class, wide and comfortable seats feature ergonomically designed seating, personal device holders, and Bluetooth connectivity for pairing personal headphones with the inflight system. This innovation enhances the travel experience further.
Etihad is expanding into new long-haul markets with growth potential, making the long-haul range and fuel efficiency of the A350-1000 ideally suited to the airline’s growing intercontinental network.

Expansion of Transatlantic Network: Launch of Atlanta Service
The sixth A350 arrives ahead of EY's new services to Atlanta, its sixth North American destination. This will provide a new way to utilize the A350, capitalizing on the ultra-long-range performance and passenger-friendly features of this type of aircraft.
Atlanta is one of 16 new routes that EY is adding this year as part of the airline’s global growth strategy. As one of the busiest aviation hubs in the world, it is the latest addition to Etihad’s extensive network of daily US flights, which further strengthens the airline’s connectivity between the Gulf and the US by providing seamless travel options across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
Looking Ahead
Etihad’s commitment to sustainability through its investment in the Airbus A350 symbolizes a bright future for the airline as it seeks to blend luxury flying with sustainable initiatives.
With a summer filled with new destinations and a strong focus on enhancing the customer experience in the pipeline, the delivery of EY’s sixth A350 further illustrates both the airline’s strategic momentum and operational ambition.
