LUTON, UK — easyJet (U2) has launched a ChatGPT plugin for flight and package-holiday searches and live flight status, the airline announced October 5.
Customers connect the easyJet plugin through ChatGPT's mobile app or website, then search conversationally with live availability and prices. Flight bookings are completed on the airline's website and packages through easyJet holidays. The integration also lets travelers check their flight's live status.

An easyJet-commissioned survey found that 51% of respondents had used artificial intelligence to plan a trip, while 17% were considering it. Among respondents using AI for travel planning, 62% used ChatGPT.
The survey covered 500 UK adults who had flown in the previous 12 months and ran from July 30 to August 4, 2026. Its findings describe that sample, rather than the entire UK population.
easyJet also reported that organic traffic from ChatGPT had risen 400% year-on-year for flights and 125% for package holidays. The announcement gives no absolute visitor totals or booking conversion figures, limiting what those increases reveal about sales.
Ian Chambers, digital director at easyJet and easyJet holidays, said the integration was intended to put travel information where customers increasingly search.
“We're always looking at how technology can make travel easier for our customers, from booking through to boarding,” he said.
Virgin Atlantic (VS) announced its own ChatGPT app on April 20. Customers can search for flights in everyday language, compare options and then continue to the airline's website or mobile app to book.
Both services give passengers another way to find flights while retaining airline checkout. They provide concrete examples of the shift toward AI-assisted travel search and booking previously examined by Airways.
