Discover Airlines Lands in Tulum for the First Time

DALLAS — Discover Airlines (4Y) flight 4Y12, an Airbus A330, departed Frankfurt Airport (FRA) for Tulum Felipe Carillo Puerto International Airport (TQO) in Mexico yesterday at 10:20 a.m.

This is the first European airline to serve TQO and the first landing of a wide-body aircraft at the one-year-old airport. The inaugural flight landed on time at 4:05 p.m. Mexican local time, greeted by Governor Mara Lezama and German Ambassador Dr. Clemens von Goetze.

From December 12, 2024 to April 27, 2025, 4Y will offer non-stop flights to Tulum twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. Until now, Tulum was only reachable by connecting flights via the US or Mexico.

Discover Airlines is Lufthansa Group's (LH) leisure airline in Germany, flying travelers from FRA and Munich (MUC) to holiday destinations worldwide. TQO is situated approximately 20 kilometres southwest of Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
