‍DALLAS — The German leisure airline Condor (DE), now known for its bold brand and colorful liveries, has unveiled a new and unique scheme on an Airbus A320 plane that will carry a different and unique message from the rest of the fleet.

This airframe, registered as D-AICS, has its stripes painted in bright pink, representing Condor’s support for the fight against breast cancer. For this purpose, the airline collaborates with the international aviation association FlyPink and regularly collects donations to Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V.

The Airbus A320, MSN4478, flew from Dusseldorf (DUS) to Norwich (NWI) still carrying the former Condor livery before the brand update in 2022. After more than 10 days of tedious paintwork, it returned to Frankfurt on September 28 and is ready to make its commercial debut in the coming days.

FlyPink is a non-profit organization founded by QantasLink (QF) pilots in 2015. Since then, the initiative has collaborated with the famous National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) and contributes to many local breast cancer charities across the globe.

In support of FlyPink, pilots, cabin crew, and airport agents wear epaulets and pinks featuring the pink ribbon. Condor has enabled a special section on its online shop with many pink gifts, such as pens, lanyards, towels, and umbrellas.

Other companies, such as Delta Air Lines (DL) or Aeromexico (AM), have also selected some aircraft from their fleets to promote the fight against breast cancer with colorful pink liveries.
