FRANKFURT — Condor Airlines (DE) has commenced scheduled flights between Frankfurt (FRA) and London Gatwick (LGW).
The Frankfurt-based carrier operated its inaugural flight to LGW today. This is the first time the airline has offered flights to the British capital.
“Today’s inaugural flight to London Gatwick marks another important milestone in the expansion of our European route network.” David Carlisle, Director Network and Partnerships at Condor, said.
New European city
Condor mainly offers flights to vacation hotspots across Europe, Africa, and the Americas. London is an interesting addition for DE. The airline will operate the route three times a day. The schedule has been designed to accommodate business and leisure travelers.
The service will be operated with an Airbus A320 aircraft, offering 180 seats in a two-class cabin layout.
Strategic expansion in Europe
The addition of LGW to DE's network is part of its strategy to strengthen its presence across Europe. London is one of Europe’s key economic, financial, and cultural hubs.
Condor provides travelers with convenient access to the Greater London area via its new LGW Service. Business passengers benefit from flexible options for day trips or longer stays, while leisure travelers enjoy convenient timings ideal for weekend getaways or short city breaks.
Condor also works closely with partner airlines to enhance connectivity on this route.
