NEWPORT BEACH, California — Aviation Capital Group (ACG) has signed a firm order for 75 Airbus A320neo-family aircraft, adding single-aisle jets for delivery into the middle of the next decade.
The California-based lessor said deliveries are scheduled between 2032 and 2035. The purchase brings its outstanding orders for the family to 115 aircraft. ACG reported 118 A320neo-family aircraft in its fleet as of June 30, 2026.
Airbus puts ACG's cumulative orders for the family at 190 aircraft. That historical total is separate from the outstanding order book, which counts aircraft still to be delivered. The relationship dates to ACG's first direct Airbus order in 2007, according to the manufacturer.
“ACG’s portfolio strategy is focused on new-technology narrowbody aircraft that are most in-demand with airlines globally,” said Thomas Baker, ACG's chief executive officer and president. He described the purchase as the largest order in the company's nearly 40-year history.
The agreement includes conversion rights between A320neo-family variants, ACG said. That gives the lessor scope to change the aircraft mix within the purchase. The two companies' announcements did not specify the initial variant allocation, engine selection, airline customers or purchase price.
Rob Downes, ACG's chief OEM officer, said airline demand for the family covers both replacement aircraft and fleet growth.
The Airbus purchase follows ACG's January order for 50 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. Boeing identified that purchase as 25 737-8s and 25 737-10s, bringing ACG's MAX order book to 121 aircraft at the time.
