SEATTLE — Aviation Capital Group has ordered 50 more Boeing 737 MAX jetsto further solidify the lessor's long-term commitment to next-generation narrowbodies and substantially extend its future delivery pipeline.
The deal comprises 25 737-8s and 25 737-10s, scheduled for delivery between 2026 and 2033.
MAX Portfolio Expansion
Today's announcement brings ACG's overall 737 MAX order book to 121 aircraft, with 50 firm orders for the 737-10. The agreement cements ACG as the largest lessor customer for the 737-10 and reinforces confidence in the variant's potential capacity and operating economics to serve high-density short- and medium-haul markets.
ACG added that the expanded order book strengthens its capacity to offer airline customers flexible fleet solutions worldwide, while supporting the company's broader growth strategy centered on fuel-efficient, in-demand aircraft types.
Market Signal for the 737-10
The deal marks a strong endorsement from the leasing community for the 737-10. Lessors have placed nearly 1,300 orders for the 737 MAX to date, accounting for around a quarter of overall demand for the type and underscoring its importance in global fleet planning.
Strategic Positioning
Incorporated in 1989, the company currently operates approximately 470 owned, managed, or committed aircraft and serves about 90 airlines in 50 countries.
This latest order further expands the lessor’s narrow-body aircraft fleet, positioning the company to support airlines' future capacity expansions, which are expected to increase over the next 10 years due to heightened demand for efficient aircraft.
