TOKYO — All Nippon Airways (NH) has unveiled its Chiikawa Jet, a Boeing 767-300ER registered JA609A, wearing a special livery dedicated to the Japanese manga series.
The aircraft was revealed to the media at Tokyo Haneda (HND) on October 18, Travel Watch reported. Chiikawa, Hachiware and Usagi joined ANA staff for a commemorative photo session in front of the aircraft.
The design features eight characters, including Chiikawa, Hachiware and Usagi, surrounded by motifs seen across Japan throughout the four seasons.

The Chiikawa Jet is scheduled to enter domestic service on October 19, 2026, operating NH661 from Tokyo Haneda to Nagasaki (NGS) at 08:15 Japan time. The return flight, NH664, is scheduled to leave Nagasaki at 11:00.

After those flights, ANA plans to assign the aircraft across its domestic network without a fixed route. Possible Haneda destinations include Sapporo-New Chitose (CTS), Osaka-Itami (ITM), Fukuoka (FUK) and Okinawa-Naha (OKA). ANA says assignments will not be confirmed until the day of departure and may change with operating conditions.

The theme continues inside. ANA plans to provide domestic Economy Class passengers with Chiikawa headrest covers and limited-edition cups featuring Chiikawa, Hachiware and Usagi. The airline says onboard items may change depending on the day's operations. The covers are for use onboard and cannot be taken home.

Collaboration merchandise showing the characters in ANA uniforms is scheduled to go on sale from October 23 through ANA's online shop and selected airport stores. International in-flight preorders also open that day, while ordering onboard international flights begins November 1. Product availability varies by sales channel.
ANA's relationship with the 767 dates to June 1983, when it introduced the 767-200. The type also has a Japanese manufacturing connection: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries describes Japan's share of 767 development and production as 15%.
Chiikawa joins ANA's character-themed aircraft, following its recent Pokémon livery unveiling in Tokyo.
