Alaska Airlines Flight Attendants Greenlight New Contract

DALLAS — Alaska Airlines (AS) 6,900+ Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA), have ratified a new 3-year contract.

This marks the eighth labor contract ratified in the past three years between an Alaska Air Group company and its represented workgroups. These agreements aim to improve wages, enhance quality of life, and support the company's long-term success.

The new contract includes significant improvements, including higher remuneration, enhanced flexibility, and better benefits. This agreement represents a milestone for AS and underscores Flight Attendants' vital role in ensuring safety and operational excellence.

The new agreement saw strong participation, with over 90 % of AS Flight Attendants voting and an overwhelming 95 % approving the new terms.

Effective tomorrow, March 2, 2025, the contract introduces higher pay, including a newly implemented market rate adjustment, boarding pay, and other financial improvements.

It also maintains a 10-hour- and 30-minute duty day alongside Southwest Airlines (WN), the shortest in the industry. Enhancements to scheduling insurance premium caps and other key provisions greatly enhance Flight Attendants' quality of life.
