airBaltic Expands Summer 2026 Reach with New Routes

RIGA — airBaltic (BT) has announced the expansion of its network for the upcoming summer season.

From late March to late October 2026, the Riga-based (RIX) airline will introduce six new routes, resume flights to 3 destinations, and increase frequencies on nearly 30 existing routes from its bases across three Baltic States.

During the upcoming summer season, BT will in fact operate nearly 110 routes across all its bases. This translates to a 7% increase when compared with summer 2025.

“Each season, we carefully evaluate the travel needs of our passengers and the overall market dynamics in the region. The additions and increases we are making for summer 2026 reflect our long-term commitment to strengthening connectivity of Latvia and overall Baltic States with the rest of the world. By offering more destinations and increased frequencies, we aim to provide travelers with greater convenience, flexibility, and choice, while further supporting tourism, business, and economic development in Latvia and the entire region, and strengthening ties with Europe and beyond,” said Thomas Ramdahl, Chief Commercial Officer (Acting) at airBaltic.

New Summer Routes

For the 2026 summer season, BT will launch new routes from its Latvia base (RIX) to Kaunas (KUN), Oulu (OUL), and Antalya (AYT), which have previously been served only on charter flights. From its Estonian base in Tallinn (TLL), the airline will expand its network with new services to Athens (ATH), Hamburg (HAM), and Vienna (VIE).

The addition of the Riga-Kaunas route means BT will now operate from all three Lithuanian airports, further strengthening its market presence in the country.

| Route | Start Date | Frequency | |--------------------------------|-----------------------|-----------------------| | Riga–Kaunas (Lithuania) | From March 29, 2026 | Five weekly flights | | Riga–Oulu (Finland) | From March 29, 2026 | Five weekly flights | | Riga–Antalya (Turkey) | From May 2, 2026 | Two weekly flights | | Tallinn–Athens (Greece) | From April 28, 2026 | Two weekly flights | | Tallinn–Hamburg (Germany) | From March 29, 2026 | Two weekly flights | | Tallinn–Vienna (Austria) | From March 30, 2026 | Two weekly flights |

airBaltic will relaunch three routes from RIX for the summer of 2026. These routes include Aberdeen (ABZ), Belgrade (BEG), and Yerevan (EVN).
