Air France to Suspend Paris–Manila Flights in Summer 2026

DALLAS — Air France (AF) will suspend its nonstop service between Paris–Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) from May 4 to October 12, 2026, effectively converting the route into a seasonal operation, according to schedule data cited by aeroTime.aero.

The suspension applies to the European summer season and comes just over a year after AF resumed direct flights to the Philippines following a 20-year hiatus. The carrier currently operates the route three times per week on Airbus A350-900 aircraft, with services scheduled to continue through early May 2026.

Air France relaunched nonstop Paris–Manila flights in December 2024, restoring a direct Europe–Philippines link that had been absent since 2004, when the airline exited the market following its merger with KLM (KL). Since then, AF has maintained Philippine connectivity primarily through KL codeshare services.

The move is another example of the challenges of sustaining year-round ultra-long-haul demand. It aligns with broader network strategies among European carriers to concentrate capacity during peak travel periods.
