DALLAS — Yesterday, Wizz Air (W6) announced that it would reopen its temporary base at Chișinău International Airport (RMO), Moldova.
From there, W6 passengers will have nonstop connections to 16 destinations through the base, including eight new routes that will commence flights on December 16, 2024.
Once again, passengers can take advantage of the new route to Nuremberg and the convenience of nonstop flights between Chisinau and Berlin, Bologna, Brussels Charleroi, Dortmund, Memmingen, Paris Beauvais, and Verona.
In total, 16 routes to destinations in 9 countries will be accessible, including the extant routes to Abu Dhabi, Budapest, Milan, Venice, Vienna, Rome, London Luton, and Warsaw. With the new winter routes, the airline says it is slated to offer more than 400,000 seats to passengers in 2024.
The airline's dedication to the Moldovan market and its ongoing expansion toward a 500-aircraft fleet within the next eight years are underscored by the addition of a new Airbus A320 to RMO, which coincides with the reopening of the base in Moldova.
