Mr. Awesome Needs Your Help to Keep Saving Lives

During Calder’s awesome, but very brief seven years and seven days on earth, my little avgeek made the world a better place for all those who knew and loved him. In the last month, he has begun to fulfill a destiny of changing the world. Calder is saving lives by raising pool and electrical safety awareness via local and national media coverage, has raised over $125,000 for his beloved school Lehrman, and is spreading joy through the viral “Mr. Awesome” campaign that so many of you have been a part of.

Recently, we launched Calder’s legacy campaign of alerting people to dangers in their pools and households the world over. An email blast to millions will go out this week but we need your help in spreading and sharing his message so more lives can be saved. Please stand with us and get the word out via social media, email, or word-of-mouth. Moving forward, we are determined that Calder’s story will impact laws, codes, and regulations to prevent a tragedy like this from ever happening again.

Please visit Calder’s site to learn more about the dangers of pool safety and what you can do about it to save lives and consider giving to his foundation:

To everyone who’s reached out to us, we so appreciate all that you have done and continue to do which give us solace. It’s hard to get back to everyone in a timely manner during this time, but please know we are getting your cards, emails, donations, mitzvahs, and thoughts and are very grateful.

Chris.
