MIAMI — United Airlines seems to follow the trend in the industry to make Pre-Flight Safety videos amusing and funny, appealing to humor and catch the attention of those on board.

The Chicago-based carrier has disclosed today a preview of a brand-new safety video to be launched next month, a first in the industry. The trailer will appear at the end of United’s current safety video as a teaser to the forthcoming one.

The new video builds on the “Safety is Global” theme from last year, including some fun elements such as llamas, the Loch Ness monster, and selfie sticks to name a few, all within the unique locations from United’s global route network.

This new video evidences that the trend of amusing safety videos is not going anywhere any time soon, despite concerns in the industry whether the safety content is effectively delivered to passengers. In any case, we’ll enjoy the extra in-flight fun.
