MIAMI — Delta Air Lines will launch flights between Salt Lake City and Amsterdam on May 1, 2015.
Initially, the flights will only operate five times a week through May 18. Starting May 19, the flight will be operated daily.
However, it is not clear if this is seasonal because Delta is only selling tickets into late June.
The flight to Amsterdam will depart at 4:50 PM and arrive at 10:55 AM the following day. The return flight will depart for Salt Lake City at 10:30 AM and arrive at 1:15 PM. All times local. These flights are designed to take advantage of SkyTeam’s KLM hub at Amsterdam Schiphol. The flights will be operated with a Boeing 767-300ER.
Based on the current schedule, Delta will operate 20 flights a day from nine cities in the United States to Amsterdam during the 2015 summer.
Currently, Delta flies to Amsterdam from Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Mumbai, New York JFK, Newark, Portland, and Seattle.
Salt Lake City’s only other trans-atlantic nonstop flight is the service to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport which connects with Sky Team partner Air France’s hub there.
