MIAMI – In a move that shows confidence in a rapid return to normal activity, Dubai International Airport (DXB) is re-opening Terminal 1 and Concourse D effective June 24.
The two facilities have been closed to all operations since March 2020 following the pandemic-driven crisis and the consequent dramatic reduction of air travel. Airport authorities welcomed the reopening of Terminal 1 and Concourse D, to be ready for the return of travelers in the coming weeks and months.
He also mentioned that the reopening was the result of a cooperative effort of the many actors involved in the operation of one of the largest international airports that rendered possible an important move toward a full restoration of services. The reopening is also a clear sign of DBX’s confidence in a positive outlook for 2021 and the future.
A Return to International Travel
The availability of Terminal 1 and Concourse D will allow the return in several stages of those airlines that were moved to Terminal 2 and 3 following the reduction of activity ay DBX airport in March 2020.
