LONDON – Volotea (V7) announced today that Mike Powell will be its new Chief Financial Officer. Powell will take up his duties from July 1.

The executive has 14 years of experience in the aviation industry. He previously worked as CFO at the European ULCC Wizz Air (W6) following its listing on the stock exchange in 2015.

He subsequently co-founded Argentina’s first low-cost airline, Flybondi (FO), which he led as executive president for four years. Powell will also continue to be a non-executive director of Pegasus Airlines (PC) in Turkey. Between 1993 and 2007, the new CFO worked as Head of Aviation Research in several major investment banks based in London and Madrid.
