MIAMI — The first A350-900 for THAI (HS-THB • MSN 044) has rolled out from cabin furnishing and engine installation at the Airbus Toulouse Final Assembly Line. The aircraft is now ready to start the customary ground and flight tests prior to delivery, expected to take place in the third quarter, 2016.

The first two jetliners to be delivered to THAI will be leased to CIT Aerospace International, while six will be delivered the next year, also leased to Aviation Lease and Finance, complemented by an order of four placed by the carrier in August 2011. In total, the flag carrier of Thailand will operate a dozen of the type.

THAI’S A350s will offer a two-class layout, with 32 Royal Silk Class (business class) seats in a 1+2+1 layout, and 289 economy seats, arranged in a 3+3+3 configuration.

Once THAI takes delivery of its first A350, it will join Singapore Airlines as an operator of all Airbus widebody family aircraft currently in production.
