MIAMI — On Tuesday, Southwest Airlines released its schedule extension for Summer 2016. The airline will launch five new routes, and it is not discontinuing any markets permanently.

Southwest will begin flying one daily round trip flight between Cleveland and St. Louis, after it stopped in 2011. It will also begin flying between Oakland and Reno three times daily for the first time since 2013.

The airline will also launch three brand new routes; it will fly between St. Louis and Portland once a day as well as between St. Louis and Oakland once a day. Additionally, Southwest will launch one daily round trip flight between Dallas and Burbank, California. Also from Dallas, rhw airline will fly one weekly flight to Pensacola, and lastly, it will also connect Kansas City with Pensacola.

The airline will also fly following seasonal routes:

  • In April, Southwest will discontinue flights to Akron and Flint from Orlando, but it will operate Saturday only service based on the new schedule
