LONDON – A Laudamotion (OE) Airbus A320 has landed at London Stansted (STN) following an in-flight incident on board. The Royal Air Force Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) dispatched a Eurofighter Typhoon to the airport to assist in the landing of the aircraft.
It is unclear what the reasoning for the QRA deployment was at this time, as this is a developing story. What we do know is that the aircraft is registered as OE-LMB, a Laudamotion Airbus A320-232.
Further Information about the Aircraft
The aircraft is 14.1 years old and started out life in Brazil as PR-MBE with TAM Linhas Aereas.
According to data from FlightRadar24, it was operating FR7364, which is a Ryanair (FR)-operated flight from Vienna to London Stansted. This service, therefore, did not result in a diversion.
Photographs to follow in due time.
