MIAMI — Emirates has announced that its partner airline flydubai will take over its flights between Dubai and Zagreb, Croatia starting on December 2, 2018, through March 30, 2019.

According to Emirates, this decision guarantees “that capacity is deployed to best serve customer demand by maximizing the frequency for passengers during the winter season,” as well as it demonstrates the passenger benefits of the strategic partnership between both carriers.

Flight FZ1793 will take off from Dubai International Airport (DXB) at 10:00 and land in Zagreb Airport (ZAG) at 13:15 local time. The return flight FZ1794, meanwhile, will depart from ZAG at 14:30 and arrive in Dubai at 23:00.

flydubai will deploy its new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft for this temporary route, featuring its passengers an enhanced travel experience which includes lie-flat seats in Business Class, the latest Economy Class seating, in-flight entertainment via HD touchscreens, Boeing’s innovative Sky Interior throughout the cabin, among others.

Emirates and flydubai will continue to offer a travel experience reflective of each other’s brand.

flydubai’s Zagreb flights will operate from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport (DXB), in order to allow continuous connections for customers flying Emirates to Dubai’s ultra-modern airport.

Emirates and flydubai currently provide several travel options across their complementary flight networks, with codeshares to over 90 destinations.

The partnership between the Dubai-based carriers initially began with codeshare flights to 29 cities.

Following its rapid engagement and profits, both airlines addressed the existing demand as customers realize the benefits of increased flight frequencies, and expanded access to global destinations on a single ticket.

Benefits such as the alignment of the frequent flyer programme, the convenience of checking in their baggage through to the final destination, smooth transfers during transit in Dubai and more can be enjoyed by its customers.

For bookings under the codeshare, Emirates passengers will receive complimentary meals and the Emirates checked baggage allowance on flights operated by flydubai in both Business and Economy.
