MIAMI – Emirates (EK) showcased its centerpiece for this year’s Arabian Travel Market (ATM): the newly launched Premium Economy seat. The event took place in Dubai (DBX) between May 16 and 19.
The new seat, on which visitors were able to sit and relax, features a pitch up to 40 inches, a width of 19.5 inches, and a cradle-position recline.
Emirates also showed its new First Class fully enclosed suite, equipt on its Boeings 777-300ER, the 777 Business Class seats, and the revamped Airbus 380 lounge.
Other EK premium products presented at the ATM include the First Class Shower and the latest version of the Economy Class seat, all in a refreshed color palette showing Ghaf tree motifs.
During the event, EK reiterated its commitment to its industry partners and suppliers. The carrier also mentioned its hopes and support for a speedy travel industry rebound. The airline’s focus is on joint tourism initiatives, technical tie-ups, and enhancing its partnership with the tourism and aviation economical system.
To that effect, EK signed a Memorandum of Commitment (MoC) with the Indonesian government with the aim to support the return of tourism to/from the region. Additionally, EK senior management met several delegations from the travel industry to explore and enhance the development of tourism traffic.
