MIAMI — Swiss carrier Edelweiss has announced three new long haul destinations to be added to its network—San Jose in Costa Rica, Cancun and San Diego.

The leisure carrier is adding these destinations to the Summer 2017 Timetable, all to be operated with its new fleet of Airbus A340-300, expected to join the fleet early next year. The aircraft, all coming from SWISS, will have 314 seats arranged in a three-class configuration (27 seats in Business Class, 76 in Economy Max, and 211 seats in Economy Class.)

The year-round service to Cancun will start on April 16 with flights on Thursdays and Sundays, while flights to San Jose will be served on Tuesdays and Fridays starting on May 9. Flights to San Diego will start a month later on Mondays and Fridays.

Edelweiss is currently an all-Airbus operator with six Airbus A320-200 and three Airbus A330, and serves over 40 European and intercontinental destinations from its base at Zürich Airport.
