MIAMI — After obtaining the same type rating for the CS100 and CS300, Bombardier has confirmed today that the delivery of the CS300 to launch operator airBaltic has been scheduled for next Monday, November 28, 2016.
The two-hour ceremony is planned for 10:30 Monday morning at Bombardier’s facilities in Montréal. Latvia-based airBaltic has a firm order for 20 CS300s, which is to date the largest C Series variant.
airBaltic will start its CS300 revenue service on December 14, 2016 on its route from Riga to Amsterdam.
In order to gain operational experience, the route portfolio for the first aircraft will be mixed, with a set of long routes such as Amsterdam, Munich and Zurich, complemented by shorter hops from Riga to Stockholm, Helsinki, Vilnius and Tallinn.
Last June, the first CS100 was delivered to Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS). SWISS has reported that the three aircraft delivered performed as expected, despite a few minor issues during the first months of service.
To date, Bombardier has received 358 firm orders for the CSeries, with 123 for the CS100 and 235 for the CS300, plus 115 commitments for both variants.
