SWISS Unveils “Wanderlust” Livery on Its First A350

DALLAS — Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS-LX) has introduced a special “SWISS Wanderlust” livery on its first Airbus A350-900—a homage to Switzerland’s culture and landmarks.

Designed by renowned Swiss artist Frédéric Siegel, the artwork transforms the aircraft into a flying art gallery that celebrates the nation’s diversity and spirit.

The livery creatively blends traditional and modern elements, showcasing detailed illustrations that capture the essence of Switzerland’s cities and traditions. From Basel’s artistic flair to Bern’s historical charm and Geneva’s international significance to Locarno’s cinematic legacy, each depiction tells a unique story of Swiss life.

Notably, the design features playful motifs, including a marmot, the personified figure of Helvetia lounging in style, and a nod to rock legend Freddie Mercury, immortalized in Montreux.

Interactive Experience, SWISS' New Era

Beyond its striking visuals, the livery serves as an entry point to an interactive digital adventure. Through the “SWISS Treasure Hunt,” accessible via augmented reality at swiss.com/treasurehunt, enthusiasts can explore hidden details, solve puzzles, and even win a round-trip Business Class flight on the new A350.

This feature turns every glimpse of the aircraft into a discovery of Switzerland’s cultural treasures.

SWISS Chief Commercial Officer Heike Birlenbach describes the livery as “a flying declaration of our love for Switzerland,” emphasizing the airline’s deep connection with its home country.

As LX prepares to welcome a fleet of ten advanced, fuel-efficient A350-900s, the debut aircraft is set to enter service in late summer, marking the beginning of a new, sustainable era for the airline.

With “SWISS Wanderlust,” the airline elevates its fleet’s aesthetic appeal and invites passengers around the globe to experience the creativity, heritage, and innovation that define Switzerland.
