DALLAS — Toronto-based carrier Porter Airlines (PD) has announced two new routes for their Winter schedule: San Diego (SAN) and Palm Springs (PSP).
Both of these flights will be out of Toronto (YYZ) utilizing Porter’s Embraer E195-E2 jets. The YYZ—SAN service will be operated four times weekly, commencing on December 9, 2024. The YYZ—PSP service will be operated three times weekly, starting on December 12, 2024.
In addition to the two new destinations, PD will increase the number of flights to and from Las Vegas by adding new routes from Ottawa International Airport (YOW) and Montréal-Trudeau (YUL).
These nonstop flights to and from Las Vegas Harry Reid (LAS) will begin on November 1, 2024, and November 2, 2024. PD will be the only airline flying the YOW- LAS route.
The Ottawa to Las Vegas flights will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, and the Montréal to Las Vegas flights will operate on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Porter Airlines President Kevin Jackson stated, " We continue to provide passengers in Ottawa and Montréal with convenient and comfortable travel options. These new routes to Las Vegas reflect our commitment to meeting passenger demand and offering superior service across our expanding network.”
According to Steve Hill, CEO and President of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, in 2023, Las Vegas welcomed 1.4 million Canadian visitors.
