Oman Air Adds New Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner

DALLAS — Oman Air (WY) has taken delivery of the first of three Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners scheduled for 2024, marking the tenth Dreamliner in its fleet.

This delivery is part of an ongoing order, with eight more aircraft expected by 2027.

The Boeing 787-9 is celebrated for its advanced design, fuel efficiency, and enhanced passenger comfort, featuring wide cabins and large windows.

The new aircraft arrived in Muscat from Boeing's Seattle facility. They will feature a two-class configuration with 30 Business Class seats and 258 Economy Class seats, serving destinations across Oman Air's network.

Oman Air's CEO, Con Korfiatis, expressed enthusiasm for the new addition, emphasizing its role in maintaining operational efficiency, reducing maintenance costs, and supporting the airline’s goal of financial sustainability.

Oman Air has 348 scheduled flight with the Boeing 787-9 for the month of September, that is 121,800 seats and 407,483,300 ASMs, according to Cirium Diio data.

The Dreamliner expansion aligns with Oman’s broader ambitions to boost tourism and improve global connectivity.
