‍DALLAS – Bangkok (BKK)-based airline Nok Air (DD) will operate daily flights between its home base and Mumbai (BOM), India, starting October 27. The service will continue until March 29 as part of DD’s winter flight schedule. 

The Thai carrier primarily operates domestic flights and will utilize this service out of Don Mueang International Airport (DMK). The airline will deploy a Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 189 seats on the route. The flight schedule is as follows:

To Mumbai:

Flight DD938 will depart from DMK at 2205 (local time) and arrive in BOM at 0105 (local time) the following morning.

To Don Mueang:

Flight DD939 will depart BOM at 0205 (Local time) and arrive at DMK at 0745 (local time) on the same day.

Scaling Up India Services

This new service will operate alongside DD’s existing flights between DMK and Hyderabad (HYD). DD launched the HYD route in March last year and currently offers four weekly flights on it. 

Nok Air will compete with Thai Lion Air (SL), which operates daily flights on the BOM route. Other airlines offering daily flights from Thailand to India include Thai Airways International (TG), which operates 11 services a week between Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and BOM. 

Full-service airlines Air India (AI) and Vistara (UK) operate daily flights on the route, while low-cost carrier IndiGo (6E) also offers services between India and Thailand.
